After his stint on the tournament trail, Woody FitzHugh opened Woody’s Golf Range in 1980 with the idea of serving the golfing public with good golf balls, good mats, and well maintained fairways. Since that time, the range has grown to include baseball and softball batting cages, birthday party and picnic areas and our famous Perils of the Lost Jungle Miniature Golf Course. Driving Range Woody’s Golf Range is the only destination for serious golfers in the DC area. The yardage markers on our range are lasered by the PGA of America for precision distances. We use Pinnacle golf balls made by Titleist, the # 1 ball in golf. We have covered, lighted, and heated tees for all-weather practice. We also offer the only Bermuda grass tees in Northern Virginia using the Patriot™ brand for the finest of hitting surfaces.
Golf Lessons Whether you need good fundamentals or you just need to hone your skills, lessons and training are a must. All of our teaching Pros are PGA certified instructors. What this means to you is that each of our Pros has undergone an apprentice program of training and certification for a period of five years before being allowed to teach. This ensures that you will have a qualified instructor working with you, no matter your skill level. A moment to learn, a lifetime to master.
IRONMASTERS CHALLENGE
Ironmasters Challenge The only range game sanctioned by the PGA, Ironmasters Challenge is a five round, 50 ball game.Hit your target and trigger the scoring light. Points are accumulated based on distance from the tee. Come play Ironmasters to make your practice time efficient and fun!
